FAQ
What is the difference between the Climbers Balm and the Healing Hand Balm?
- Both balms have the same nourishing formulation, with different aesthetics. Originally created for climbers, we realised the wider benefits of our formula and decided to make it available to everyone.
- Little Sammy's Climbers Balm is specifically formulated to meet the unique skincare needs of climbers. Our blend offers excellent nourishment and protection to heal dry, damaged, and chapped skin.
What makes your hand balms unique?
- Our hand balms are crafted with high-quality, natural plant-based ingredients, free from artificial additives, preservatives, or synthetic fragrances, promoting rapid healing and deep hydration.
- Yes, it's completely normal and doesn't affect the quality or effectiveness of the balm. Our balms are handcrafted using natural ingredients like mango butter, coconut oil, hemp seed oil, jojoba oil and candelilla wax. Sometimes, especially with natural products, you might notice small crystals forming on the surface. This can happen due to the unique characteristics of natural waxes and oils. These crystals are most likely from the mango butter. When the balm cools down after being poured, the mango butter can sometimes crystallise, especially at the surface where it interacts with air. The crystallisation is purely a visual aspect and does not impact the balm's moisturising properties. When you use the balm, you'll find that it still rubs in smoothly and offers the same nourishing benefits for your skin. To minimise this, store your balm in a cool, stable environment away from direct sunlight or heat sources.

- We are committed to vegan formulations that are nurturing for your skin and the planet. We avoid beeswax due to ethical concerns about the industry's impact on wild bee populations and individual bees. We use Candelilla Wax as a sustainable and ethical alternative.

- Absolutely! While they are specifically designed for hands, our balms can be beneficial for other dry or irritated skin areas. For very sensitive areas, such as lips, we recommend using our unscented version.
- For optimal quality and efficacy, we recommend using our hand balms within 6 months to a year from the date of purchase. This timeframe considers the natural ingredients used and their individual shelf lives. Store your balm in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, to maintain its best condition. We strive to use fresh ingredients, but the natural nature of our products means their shelf life may be shorter than commercial, synthetic alternatives.
- To preserve the quality of your balm, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. This helps maintain the efficacy and consistency of the balm over time.
